The Donnington string quartet provides live music for all occasions and tastes. Based in the Thames Valley (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, it adds a special dimension to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or corporate events.
The players
All four of us are qualified musicians and have spent at least some of our time teaching for Berkshire Maestros, the organisation which provides instrumental tuition for schools across the county. Our combined experience covers the whole musical range from traditional orchestral and chamber groups, including solo work, to the varied and different demands of the pit orchestra supporting a local amateur operatic society. This means that we can play with confidence whatever is required whether it be a traditional Vivaldi piece or a specially arranged version of the theme from Star Wars. Whatever music you choose, you can be sure it will be played well and sound wonderful.
